Small house. 52 square meters only

Some believe that a house with an area of ​​50-55 square meters is a small house. Despite this, a German architect managed to place inside 52 square meters, a spacious kitchen, dining room, bedroom, bathroom and garage. The small house is always a challenge for the designer or architect. The specialists Office Arnhard und Eck Architekten had a difficult task. It was necessary to develop a small energy efficient house. And keep in mind: the owner wants also the car to fit inside (of course in the garage). Another difficulty was that the house is situated in a cold region (near the famous ski resort of Germany). Local weather is not encouraging heat, but the sun is quite a frequent guest. This decided the architects to take advantage of it. The small house they built is solid wood, warmed with clay and plaster, having directly into the wall a heating system. The roof is equipped with solar plates that provide full house electricity (which, according to the architects, will be enough for another few neighboring houses).
