E/C House by Sami Arquitectos

E/C House is a project made by Sami Arquitectos Studio.

The main idea was to design a holiday house surrounded by ruins in the island o Pico, Portugal. With an area of 214 sqm and a sloping piece of land, the E/C House is modelled inside with stone walls, big openings (for contemplation of the surroundings and also to “receive” light). Interior of E/C House is designed in bright tones with a lot of wood elements making it a simple and not overloaded place to stay. In 2015, the E/C House was Nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies Van Der Rohe Award 2015, Barcelona.
