School in India by Abin Design Studio
Architects from Abin Design Studio designed a school in India near Newtown Kolkata.
As a starting point they were offered two types of buildings with boring classes, laboratories and corridors. Given the simplicity of the surroundings, the architects decided to turn the ordinary into something remarkable, which attracts attention due to its unique design. Both buildings are covered with 488 special panels in form of a stencil with graphic images of letters, numbers and symbols. Between the buildings is a courtyard and a playground. The facade of the School in India not only provides shade to the classrooms from the harsh sun but also lends the school a distinct identity. School in India by Abin Design School.
