The W.I.N.D. House

Architectural company UNStudio build a house in North Holland, named “The W.I.N.D. House”. Architects presented this house as a realistic “house of the future”, which combines automation and integrated management of all systems, resource efficiency and functional flexibility. The house is located on the outskirts of the village in the province of North Holland. Forest facade grouped bedrooms and rooms for different activities, from the sea – a living room area, dining room and kitchen. At the same time, flexible layout allows owners “to oversee their home life”, depending on the current needs of space for gatherings or privacy, games or work.  Center of the building is occupied by an open staircase, forming a centrifugal circulation system. In the lower part of the building is placed a garage, utility room and the main entrance. From there, the staircase leads to the child and a music room with wood sides, and then – to the living room and kitchen at the sea front. Located above the master bedroom  and a guest room (they all overlook the forest), and on the roof – a large terrace. Enjoy this beautiful W.I.N.D. House.
